TOLIVIATolivia has a surface area of 16,86 km², It is situated at a height of 420 metres and at a distance from la Pola of 8,6 km. The parish of San Antonio Abad, seperated from Villoria in 1866, is situated to the south east of the council , its villages lie on the slopes of the hillsides
The valleys formed by the rivers Molinera and Les Campes and are crowned by the splendid mountain called Peña Mea (1.560 m).
It has a population of 256 inhabitants distributed amongst the towns and villages of
La Bárgana, La Brañivieya, La Cuesta los Valles, Fresneo, El Navaliegu, Les Palombes, Tolivia, La Cuesta, L´Artaúsu, Llanulatabla, Valsemana,
La Braña, Les Campes, El Campu la Cuesta, El Cantu, La Casona, Collagrande, La Cuesta Baxo, La Cuesta Riba, Llanulaviesca, Les Meloneres,
El Molín, Prayín, Les Tercies and Valdelafaya.
It occupies a slope to the right of the river La Molinera, above the AS -252 regional road
(La Chalana-Cabañaquinta). Its houses are grouped together and spread out from 420 to 680 m altitude.
Although a lot of raised granaries have disappeared, some interesting ones still exist, but without a doubt, the carvings of the French raised granary, actually in the village museum d'Asturies de
Xixón, makes up for the most outstanding of the whole ensemble.
